As the Senate Intelligence Committee continues work on its investigation into the Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, another close ally of President Donald Trump is being called in front of them. BuzzFeed News reported Wednesday that Michael Cohen, Trump's personal attorney, is set for a closed-door meeting with the committee next week.

Cohen declined to comment on the matter when BuzzFeed reached out to him Tuesday night.

The attorney was named in the dossier prepared by former British spy Christopher Steele that laid out the raw intelligence he had compiled about the allegations the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government for assistance in getting elected. Cohen was alleged to have met with Russian officials in Prague as part of the alleged scheme.

Cohen said there is no proof that substantiates the allegation of his involvement, and he even went so far as to show BuzzFeed his passport earlier in the year. The passport, which he says is his only one, did not show any trips to Russia or the Czech Republic.
