On Friday, Fox News correspondent Geraldo Rivera appeared on “Fox & Friends” to address President Donald Trump's latest public criticism of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

While he conceded that he had no idea exactly what was going through the president's mind, Rivera did largely agree with the substance of what he had to say about McConnell.

“First of all, there are two Mitch McConnells,“ he began. "There is Mitch McConnell, the politician, that’s the guy who managed to keep open the Supreme Court vacancy so [Neil] Gorsuch could be nominated and put onto the bench, onto the high court by the president of the United States. So McConnell was brilliant as a politician. As a lawmaker, though, he stinks!”

He continued.

“And how dare he criticize the president of the United States for the failure of repeal and replace when it was in McConnell’s court for seven and a half years,” he added, citing how many years the Republicans pushed back at the ACA without an alternative.

"The president is absolutely right to be impatient, to have it up to here with Mitch McConnell.”

Jeff(3 likes)I agree with Geraldo on this.  As soon as a politician is elected, their major agenda becomes getting re-elected.  The major problem Trump is having is that the republican politicians are also swamp dwelers.  If Trump pulls the plug, they realize they will be swept down the drain themselves. While the dems are led by loons like Waters and Pelosi, the repubs have no intention on giving up their cushy jobs.  Do they want to have to get insured through Obamacrap, Hell no.  They just dig in and try to wait until Trump is not there.  Then it's back to their "normal".  They are the winners and the American citizens are the losers just like it always has been.
IntegrityImportant(2 likes)I agree totally with Jeff (and Geraldo) on this. It bears repeating that the differences between the two parties are mainly social (abortion, religion, guns, etc.). On all other issues, there isn't that much difference as both sides answer to their corporate masters. President Trump, having turned a million dollars into several billion and not being an established politician, really thought both houses would help him pass his agenda. Yet, here we are McConnell saying POTUS expected too much and POTUS reminding McConnell that there is work to be done. And we the people hope to wake up tomorrow with what little we have left still there. Congress/Senate critters need to live a few days without lobbyists and live like we the people do. Perhaps then, they'd get to work. And Arizona, you guys need to clean house! Kentucky too!
